I've had a feeling for a little bit o'posh lately.
Has anyone got any pics and or info on these once prestige motor cars for the cigar smoking fat execs?
I don't know alot about them so, I need a Johnny5 'Inpuuuut!'
(I do know that my step-dads 1998 Jag cost him 2k for a service!)

Cooorrrrrrrr ^^
I was thinking of loitering mainly around in the 'budget retro-tat' era of late 70's-80's.

XJ40, Daimler? Cheap, fairly bulletproof and not too shabby neither. 225bhp, 30mpg on a run if pottering... TOYS This one cost £600 with the plate on it, low miles and blue leather

That's a super bargain Bryn!
What are the downfalls of these beasts? I take it parts are a bit of a cringe-worthy experience?

I used to have an XJ40, 4 litre Sovereign.....it was quite simple a beautiful car and I miss it greatly. Total different from anything I usually drive, it was the kind of car that my mates (and missus) took the wee wee out of me for buying and after a ride in it, completely changed their tune
