Not a fan of the look destroys any lines the car may have and just looks like a mish mash of panels
The only reason Ive posted is I still have the duplo bricks (big lego) all over the floor that my daughter was playing with befor tea and we built a sort of car using the multi coloured bricks and I connected the two ;D

Never liked them, but always look when one passes. So it must have some attraction.
Still, its a lot of work and I admire that at all times.

... Still, its a lot of work ... If you do it to a non-harlekin, but not for VW. All that was necessary, was to spray four golfs, one of each in blue, green, red and yellow. Then all the screwed-on parts were removed and reassembled in a mix. You can guess the system in this pic: The one in the front was originally blue, you can see it at the roof, sill and rear panel, which can´t be removed, the rear one was yellow. Yellow rear door and bonnet went on the blue car, blue rear doors and bonnet went on the yellow one, other parts were taken from the other two colors. So cars were sprayed completely in one color and later parts were swapped, which should only have taken a few hours. I don't think you have to spray 4 golfs... aren't they all standard golf colours?

I wonder how the treatment works on 3 doors? I don't think I've seen one done yet, I can't imagine it working quite as well somehow?

Harlequin VW's are OK, but I really like this guy's take on the theme............. Showed the pictures of the harlequin Defender to a few mates and they all hated it - which just made me want to have one even more ;D

Even we got one of those here in Argentina : Gol Top. It was such a sales failure, that even the dealers offered you painting them in one of the colors. You can't see them now on the streets, so I believe most of them were re-painted after some time.
