Hi guys. I'm a freelance journo trying to organise a photoshoot feature for Max Power magazine on rat look / rust look / hood ride cars. I'd like to get half a dozen or so varied motors together, so some aircooled and watercooled dubs, plus a yank tank and/or brit tin. If anyone on this forum has (or knows of) some decent gnarly looking rides that would fit the bill that would be excellent.
The shoot will probably take place in the East Midlands area next week some time, but this is not confirmed. The feature is as much a lifestyle piece as it is about the cars.
If you want to get involved or know of a suitable car then please either email me direct on jonnycarpervert@gmail.com or buzz me on 07763 597 887.
Thanks a lot guys.
Jonny Smith

I'm not sure if mine are gnarly enough...
But without an emergency transmission repair the olds is going nowhere anyway.
Buicks fairly gnarly looking and is drivable but is blocked in by a dead Chrysler....
Mind you mine are genuinely ratty not rat look LOL.

You could come and photo the Renaults down the bottom of the garden, then photoshop them into the feature later. I'm not sure I qualify as having a lifestyle of any description, though. Sleazy city, seeeeedy films, etc.......

a photoshoot feature for Max Power magazine on rat look / rust look / hood ride cars. I can see it now, your local Macdonalds car park will be full of a load of "hoodride" saxos/corsas/106's...etc

Oh yeah, that would be terrible compared to the usual 'Max' style (and at least it's a 'style' obtainable on a budget, instead of trying to do wildly bodykitted and wheeled on the cheap and failing). And what's the difference to that and a field full of watercooled VW's doing it?
