Clickety-click for photographical goodness.Well, today was the first "event" of the (slightly overcrowded) VW calendar, and I rather enjoyed it. Got some nice over-riders for my Bug's bumpers, and a few service bits at cheap prices. Weather was pretty good too for this time of year! Above is a gallery of, IMO, some of the more notable cars of the day. Check out the grey splitty pickup that was in the For Sale section.....the only thing that was fit for was the scrapyard, its chassis was banana shaped and there wasn't a saveable panel on it. Oh, those crazy Peruvians . And, since I know there's a few folks who don't like VWs out there, I took the extra liberty of compiling a small selection of other noteworthy retro machines that were present at the show (there were others, but they evaded my camera, dammit!)

With apologies to Samage for linking to his album... ???WTF? It's not even banana shaped as in 'I know, let's put a two-ton Peruvian circus fat woman in the back'!!!! It's bent the other way, how in the name of Chesney Hawkes has that happened??

I enjoyed the show, it's my 3rd year running now, well I suppose it's more of a swapmeet that you pay for.... I am not getting into that though as that has been covered enough times on VZi The biggest shock for me was that the sun was out!!! I think I may have a slight sunburn on my forehead too! Like Samage says it's sort of the first event in the calendar and signifies the start of the season, can't wait...I don't think I have a weekend free for 5 months! Having an eclectic car preference helps

Not enjoying the german plates on the E21. Silly, IMO.

???WTF? It's not even banana shaped as in 'I know, let's put a two-ton Peruvian circus fat woman in the back'!!!! It's bent the other way, how in the name of Chesney Hawkes has that happened?? Basically, there's no original chassis left... as for the rest of it, there's hardly a square inch that isn't bent or twisted in some way. The most amazing thing is that someone actually paid to have it shipped over here. Last time I remember it was up for about £1500, which is a zero too much IMHO. I came home with precisely nothing that I went there to get, not even a simple floor edge repair panel.

I work for a Fire Protection company, up Huddersfield Rd, well Shepherds Thorn Lane to be precise....I have the 'luxury' of working at my bosses house though, so no industrial units for me, just a swimming pool that I have never used and nice view that I don't get chance to look at....it's not the most interesting job in the world but it keeps the wolves from the door...
