i wanted to come in the beach buggy today but the starter motor is playing up. shame since it stayed dry all day and would have been a good opportunity to give it a run.

LOL names are not my strong point. I think i guessed most of them right though! Along that stretch of road, we saw dozens of interesting cars, a really nice red and white 2 tone Herald, a new mustang, countless supercars, bikers with short term life policies and an awesome tractor spreading straw everywhere.

I posted a few in the events thread...here's a couple more. That what I call.....yellow ;D I love afternoons like that....the lowish turnout didn't really matter, what was fun was seeing the bemused faces of passing walkers, as they looked on what looked (and was) such a bizarre mix of characters and their rides. Here's to the next one. ;D

Good variety, anymore info on the AC ;D Not much, except it sounded glorious, with that 2-litre Bristol straight-six bellowing away under the bonnet. Apparently it was restored from the ground up, and is an absolute credit to its owner. ;D

Ah, I see the thing that I thought was a Peerless is actually an AC Aceca? Very tasty. Lovin' the J tin too!

The non standard colour of the AC threw me when I saw it rumble into the car park. I thought it was a Peerless as well or something. After some googling it turns out to be an AC Greyhound, without front bumpers. AC, a dyane, modified pop, late eighties Escort and a salmon faded Datsun in one club? Welcome to Retro-rides!

The Apprentice & I have just got back after an excellent time at the Waterman - thanks for making us noobies so welcome! Yes, that is Edd the Duck. I fulfilled a longstanding ambition by drilling a large hole in the little b*****d's head, and finding a useful purpose for him as an oil catch tank ;D
