I really like a Mk3. Not as good looking as a Mk1 or Mk2 but the last properly nice looking Golf VW made, in my opinion. It still had quite a bit of carry over in terms of design before the Mk4 came along, looking like that sporty fella you used to know who overindulged a bit too much and bought expanding waistline trousers.
I'd quite like a completely standard VR6 now.
