Nice, but if being pedantic, the Nyloc nuts nyloc bit isn't engaging with the brake block threads, and surely, the leather type Raleigh Raincheck brake blocks should ideally be fitted with chrome steel rims?
You can buy new crimps for the ends of Bowden cables to tidy them up...

Of course you could have bought new cables but then why would you if the old ones are serviceable but they always lose their original soldered ends the cable has to pass through a small hole in the pinch bolt on the caliper, impossible with a nipple but workable with frayed mess Nice, but if being pedantic, the Nyloc nuts nyloc bit isn't engaging with the brake block threads you mean the plain nuts with the blue trim? think they would've been dome headed chrome nuts originally, but the new blocks were metric the leather type Raleigh Raincheck brake blocks should ideally be fitted with chrome steel rims? to improve braking on steel rims in the rain, i've read.

I seem to recall that my Grifter and Bomber just had plain nuts, probably 10-12mm or so, with flat washers holding the brake blocks on, and yes, the Raincheck blocks certainly helped a bit in the rain on the Bomber, until I later fitted a set of new-fangled MTB alloy rims then had to change the blocks to suit (leather ones chew up the alloy!).
