little update, still getting my time wasted on loser kids and their engines so I gave it a complete thorough clean and detail the other day (ordered some tiger seal for that splitter - too lowz for the streetz ) popped down my local breakers this afternoon for a mooch nothing exciting until I saw this lot I gathered.. got some of my own favoured 15 inch astra steels as seen on my old white one, got them as I need something for the winter and I am a bit bored of the gsi fanblades plus they need painting again due to brake dust eating them alive! Also another factor these set me back all of £8 quid.. perfect. will give them a proper refurb and paint up the steels and the gsi's. also I managed to nab a very rare oem item- a dashboard mat! may sound silly but it finishes my now standard is interior and they go for silly amounts ££ I got it for free with the wheels in situ will start to get the steels painted

PLEASE DO NOT REDTOP THIS! use an 8v and tune that up it suits it more redtops ruin a nice tidy unique corsa for me hi I wont be now, I got offered it at a good price but melt who was selling it didn't pull through. but yes I will probably be staying 8 v I want to go a c14se (sri corsa mpi lump 84bhp standard compared to my 45!) or if I can find one a c16se as its all pretty much bolt in stuff hi there, nice corsa, have you thought about a c16se conversion? 100bhp, and still a reliable 8v. oh and have a look on thecorsa.co.uk thanks rob, yeah like I said above I will probably go for the c14s, cant find any c16's for sale sorted a colour for the steels I'm going to paint them Vauxhall champagne gold (found on mk3 astras) , I reckon this will be a nice twist subtl still but a bit different nothing too lairy, and its a very light metallic gold. should go well I think?

Have to echo some of the others here, never been big on Corsas but this one is coming along really nicely. I think now that the tuning scene has moved on a bit and most people have moved on to other cars, the early Corsas will go the same way as the Nova - the ones that are left will actually be pretty nice cars. Read the whole thread but must have missed something - aren't those seats in the later pics the originals again? What happened to the leather ones? Also, get that seatback upright Gangsta-lean is so 1990s...

Its just my daily at the end of the day but i agree these early corsa appealed to me as no badmans drive them anymore and the ones left tend to be dogs hence why i had to have this rare one ! Yes unfortunately the pink and purple checked interior is back in, but i have another plan conjurring .... i got offered a lot of dosh for it so as you can guess back then i HAD to do it ! Not to mention my other projects And ganster leans for the lols haha i want it to be 1990 better than now !

well bit of an update to do, basically after weeks of the typical 'corsa div' type boys willing to sell their 'mint' (their words not mine!) c14se's or just plainly not responding to texts or phonecalls, I have found a solution... after a quick google fu I was sent to a page on here funnily enough that I must of missed when it was first advertised 3 months ago, for a complete corsa b shell with a running c16se and various other goodies. I rung the guy , and was expecting to be told the usual- ' scrapped it' or sorry it sold months ago' but n luck was shining on me it seems? and the kind guy on this parish (alan-of which id like to add a very nie guy and family to deal with thank you so much!) had the corsa b and was still willing to sell it complete. so a deal was struck on the phone and after viewing! I was expecting the shell to be rather bad but in reality it isn't! ive had a taxed and mot'd cars in much worse condition. I really don't want to break it , but I have no space to keep the shell, and on the plus side it will make my purple corsa a really cool fun little car. the plan is to swap everything over tidy the loom and redo a few bits of wiring the engine is getting a brand new LUK clutch kit which I have before going back in then later a timing belt as it runs really really sweet. getting delivered a guy from shiply done this for £62! bargain (from ashford in Middlesex to me in se London/kent!) and home with me at this point Its my first ever conversion/full on engine change, and I still feel really bad for breaking it but I have to look n the bright side- the purple shell needs this, as if I wasn't doing this id probably sell the cleanest/ rarest colour? corsa b shell ive had my hands on (and ive had 5 so far!) the prize- after I remembered to take a snap while dismantling the ancillaries and general gubbins. and how the drive looks currently with the corsair yet again moved to its second most favourite spot lol.. keep in tune, I have planned this to be converted into the purple before the years out and while I'm on a xmas break sort of

donor car was sent on its way today scenic picture - my view haha didn't feel too sorry though as underneath the main chassis rails were really badly plated and full of rot, and then this happened.. which was the tip of the iceberg , all of the inner arch was proper shot, so not economically viable in my position to quickly get back on the road as it would cost me more repairing and id make a loss if I were to chuck my 1200 in it. so that softened the blow today , got everything I needed of it and a load of spares , so it was sent on its way to car heaven ta ta status: Behind schedule.
