I am very sorry for your loss - I think it's fair to assume that your dad did'nt mind putting fuel in his vehicles! I take it he loved the MK1 Granada - probably the best of the retro fords. I am surprised there are no SD1's there - or have I spoken too soon? The green and white lorry - Mack Coolpower? the green and white truck is definatly a Mack but not sure what model, I'm not sure what he had more of mk1 or mk2's i don't think there was much in it, there are still a fair few more pics to add to this and there is alot of cars he had he never got round to taking pictures off : )

my dad had a bit of a bang in 2007 a mk5 vauxhall astra drifted over into oncoming traffic unluckily my dad being the oncoming traffic the impact was around 60/70mph the astra bounced off and finally stopped 300 yards away. the mercedes he was in was in excellent condition prior to the crash ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s664/mjp27/IMG_20140207_00060_zps1fe78bcc.jpg) ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s664/mjp27/IMG_20140207_00050_zps7953551a.jpg) it doesnt look to bad in the pics dad sustained a few injury's but came off very lightly compared to the driver of the astra

I love this one, clothes of the era are great too, reminds me of my Dad ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s664/mjp27/Scan192_zpsdf757e4b.jpg) he was a typical truck driver/mechanic he could never stay clean for long almost always covered in oil and dirt, 6 months before he passed away he was still doing the same things remember him at the yard he used too go to. one day he got absolutly filthy so he showered with a hose pipe (september/october) and fairy liquid before he went to a docters appointment!!! here he is trying to counter balance the forklift ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s664/mjp27/Random%20Uploads/563999_3331739936781_280108546_n_zpsfe01f1a6.jpg)

I also think this one is a great shot. I took the liberty of taking a few moments in photoshop to play with the levels. If there are any others you'd like me to tinker with just shout buddy.

Wonderful, think my dear old departed dad would have had a hoot with yours hewn from the same rock as they say ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Nigh on every Saturday (after TISWAS) ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) my dad took me down to Rons scrappy on Roebuck Lane West Brom so I could relieve those poor hard to find classics of their bonnet/boot/ steering wheel badges/ bosses and take them home to add to my huge peg board he put up in my bedroom Spent 99 percent of his life with oil on him, think it was some sort of 'man' badge ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) which I carry the tradition on today ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Your Dad reminds me of myself... too many cars, forever lusting after a different one, always grubby and forever playing around with one car or another ( I have 8 mercs at present) .The 59 Ford Fairlane hardtop with RHD is a really unusual car. We had Fairlanes in OZ until the 60's which were 59 USA versions in RHD but never any hardtops. I like the ZED car station wagons too, especially the MkIII zodiac. Being a truckie, your Dad probably spotted cars everywhere from an elevated position :-) ![](http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s664/mjp27/Scan175_zps22cad6ca.jpg)

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.
