Got the new tyres on the front wheels today... Yep that's the colour, Nato green. Still waiting for my last wheel to come back with the adapters then I can finish the painting and get all the wheels on Aren't those the wrong wheels? They look like standard Herald jobbies. To correct your camber you can use a spacer between the spring and diff.

Howdy, well the wheels are all on! Just need to sort out the positive rear camber and it'll look spot on. Parts on their way.

Is she MOT'd now? Great weather for trundling round the lanes! Not quite yet. The to-do list is getting pretty short now Updates After a couple of days tinkering and tweaking I finally got her started! Sounds lovely... Video: She's getting a little warm though which I'm confident it's down to this little git. Also my swing spring kit has arrived. Going to get it fitted asap. and to finish off my post a random snap. Peace

Well the new thermostat cured the overheating Fitted the swing spring. Old standard vs new swing: Also fitting the bigger anti-roll bar. Swing spring fixed the camber and I've got some poke Latest picture, whilst I was fitting the side panels.

No moving videos yet but there's one of the engine running above. After some tinkering the car now goes into gear and moves Just need to bleed the brakes before a test drive. Hopefully over the weekend

whats a swing spring ? looking at the parts does it remove the fixed transverse spring, and allow it to see saw slightly ? interesting conversion, especially one deemed to be an upgrade and sold in kits, genuinely interested in the physics of it

Yep, some of the leaves are mounted inside of a box which allows it to pivot

Does sound to me in that video as though she's only firing on three? Lovely rasp from the exhaust though. Love the way you've cracked on with this Soph, can't wait to see it on the road.

Fantastic work, that looks 12376756456,34534534,23423423 times better than when you got it I can highly recommend Brillo soap pads for cleaning the bare alloy body, been using them on old alloy bike frames for years and they work a treat

Cheers guys
Brian, yeah I thought I'd fixed the problem (since the vid) but after today I'm not so sure. Further investigation needed methinks In other news...updates Fitted my bonnet strap/horse harness. Also some bonnet catches that came with the car. and most of all the brakes now work!

gratz on getting it road worthy I think it looked a bit disney to start with, a pastiche of "vintage" if you get what I mean? but I really like it now, some nice period touches, has a sort of pre war austin 7 special look about it, well done
