Hi people, I have been reading a few threads on here and I gotta say there is some amazing builds going on!! Anywho, this is my mk3 fiesta that I have had for about 18 months now, I have done quite a few things to it and its starting to look good I think. When I first bought it (the blue one) When I lowered it 60mm The roof lining, the stickers on the window are now gone!! Si bumpers Fogs wired up and hid's Some parking Recaros Xr2 pepperpots I do still have more plans: Re-attatch golf splitter Chrome weller steels Decent exhaust Hopefully more lows Got some black mhw rear lights on the way I really want to put a 2.0 silvertop on carbs in it but not sure wheter that will ever get done. Anyways what does everyone think??

had a mk3 fiesta for my first car, so always had a soft spot for em, looks like a tidy car, Si bumper looks well and i really like the sounds of wellers, never liked pepper pots personally, i would also be tempted to go satin with the bumpers too

Cool little car, the Si bumpers look really good with the blue over black scheme. Although I reckon changing the chrome door strips for black would be good.

Thanks guys. Yeah its quite tidy, not too bad, needs a few little bits of rust sorted. I have been thinking about satin bumpers for a while, just havent got round to doing them yet!! Also i could remove the strips on the side altogether but then i'd just have the line where the wierd stonechip paint starts :lol: And i really want chrome wellers, they will just suit it i think.

same with any old ford really sadly, but hey ho, they are worth it certainly worth paintin the bumpers satin, I always think satin looks more deliberate, same with bonnets, you see loads of young lads who see racers with black bonnets and then spray their gloss black...when it really should be satin or matt as the original reason was to stop glare during racing, the young lads bonnet just make it look like he has messed up the bonnet and found one off a black car to fit and not bothered to get it painted...but thats just personal opinion, i know thats not a plan of yours, was just an easy example, granted bumpers less so, but i still feel the same about them what you could do is like I did on my sierra, as the stonechip on the side looks like mine, dark grey rather than black? I masked off the whole top of the car, ran over the bumpers and sides (including the trims) and satin blacked the lot with some Holts bumper paint, was nearly a year ago and still look like new, total cost of about £20 and made a massive difference chrome wellers would finish the car really well

Yeah a satin black bottom half could work i guess!! i see what you mean, gloss black bonnets seem out of place. I spent about 3 hours today polishing my pepperpots, only got about halfway through one, gonna be a long job i think!! I did plan on getting the bumpers painted, but i thought they suited so they have stayed the same So far

Yeah i do, it would have to be carbed though right?? I don't know what else i'd have to change except the fuel pump and stuff, like can i keep the rad?? Or not?? How about the gearbox??

thats my second favourite mk3 colour. (favourite is that green/turquoise they do)
nice car, Si bumper really works and nice to see a 5 door getting the treatment

You are perfectly entitled to prefer the original bumpers, you can buy them if you want?? :lol: I also love the colour, its a rae colour I think too!! I'm not sure I know what you mean by your favourite?? Also i agree, there isnt enough 4 doors out there!!

you need engine, 2i/rs1800 or si rad and pipes , small cheap lecck fuel pump , and carb/s of choice , easy to do , oh and a 2i/si engine mount , your box will work but you be better with a 5 speed from a 1600 upwards,.

Should be able to get hold of the rs accessory kit, minus the front bumper, so i am on the lookout for one!! Do people think it would look good??

Haven't updated this for a while!! A few things have changed, I have gone back to standard bumpers but sourced over riders for the front, i have some spax shocks and polybush top mounts ready to go on I just need some spring compressors!! Also fitted some spot lights 4 new 185/60/13's ( not cheap either ) I plan to fit better brakes (maybe xr2i ones with greenstuff pads etc.) and get a rear beam with an arb!!

As the weather was lovely today, I sorted the front bumper, straightened the number plate, cleaned and polished the car and also replaced the air filter!! Then went for a drive in the sun!! I cleaned behind the front bumper and I was actually surprised how good it is The old air filter was pretty old!! One beautifully straight number plate!! And some other pictures too!!
