Every now and then, life gives you an opportunity, large or small. It could be trawling round on of those huge scrapyards in America, rescueing a long forgotten car from a decrepit garage, that haul of "things" in a friend of a friends loft, the free car that involves a 500 mile trip and beakdowns galore, you get the idea, most of you have probably experienced it first hand. This weekend I was invited along to some of Monza Nikkis relatives place. I'd previously turned down the opportunity as I was getting stuck in to fixing a car, probably something green, and really wanted to get some things done. I'd previously been told that Ian collected things....... but one persons old rubbish is anothers treasure isn't it. just some old 50s sports car and a Chevette right?

So, having been banned from taking a car trailer, as it was all rubbish, we trundled up in the Discovery. Meets and greets, tea and biscuits then a wander around. This one may be past repair.... This one might go again.... and this one sort of goes badly.... I quite like a Honda S600 (or 3) but I'm not allowed any Denied.

Not the type of roller I was expecting... and this is a Chevy COE. I nearly had babies when I saw it. For all you old tractor fans, there were loads but I don't know what and I didn't get pictures. Sorry.

So that's it isn't it. A nice assortment of stuff that someone doesn't want to part with. Just imagine that once upon a time, a travelling show stopped touring. What do you suppose would happen to all those vintage lorries that once carried the animals and the big top the length and breadth of the country? If for example, sometime in the 1970s they were laid up and left? How much dust do you reckon 40 years can supply? How much trouble can MonzaPhil get in with MonzaNikki for getting this grubby at a family get together? How farkin big were the spiders I couldn't see?

Wow! Totally awesome thread! Thanks for sharing.
That place looks like a film set with all those lorries just parked up and covered in genuine inches of dust, looks like a real dream come true.

Well identified Barrett, bit of an easy pic though Nothing for sale but obviously if that changes I'll let you all know. I have first dibs on all the Hondas...... it is an amazing place and I can't wait to get back later this year. I'll put up some more pics later and may even venture into MS paint for the expectant ones among you.
