As the annual awards season is coming up for telly etc I thought we might have our own awards (if everyone thinks it's a good idea!)
I thought we might use this tread for a week or so to gather ideas for categories. Once we have enough then Hotwire and a few other members (perhaps nominated in this thread also) can choose the categories and then members can bubmit nominations (need a mechanism for this).
We can then hand aout the awards (virtually) nearer Christmas!!
Need good awards i.e. best members ride, best mod of the year, best car seen at a show etc also funny ones, biggest Chav of the year, members dumbest moment etc.
Over to you lot (HW, you can sticky this if you think it's a good idea or bin it if not)

Okay what I'll do is I'll take a look at any category ideas in this thread. Then put up a message for voting in, say,... 10 categories that I choose. I like the train of thought that rmad is going down with the Best website (obviously RR is excluded because it would win all such comeptitions ), Best Car, Best Show, Best picture in gallery, etc. etc. Any more thoughts like this?

Obviously it'd be rude not to give HoTWire a 'Special Recognition' Award for being the founding father of Retro-Rides.com ;D and there should be an award for 'Best R-R.com Support Bus' ;D

In that case, I'll sign my son up. He's only two, and he needs to work on his typing skills (usually comes out as fhiodhfuhfhpfh or similar - but then some members could also be accused of dodgy spelling / grammar ;D ;D), but he's definately into the retro way early. Whenever we go out, if it's the choice between which car we take, he always insists on "Daddy's Car" , plus he loved going to the shows over the summer! He loves looking at the pictures on R-R (although you might be able to guess his favourite.... ) He's even started telling car-related stories now - last night he told me how "dk-dk [dickie bird] poo on nanny car"... ;D ;D
