i passed up a 83 polo saloon just around the corner from me with tax and mot for 50 notes, low mileage too I'm wounded i really don't know why i did it cos ive wanted one for while now

I did the same thing..... local rag, 'mint' mk1 Polo with crazy low miles (36k or summat), one owner, full mot, £150. By the time I got enthusiastic about it, it had gone - with the guy moaning that he wish he'd added a zero, phone calls all morning.

I'm tempted to buy myself a 50 quid rambler and run it into the ground, would give me chance to sort the mini out, plus i love friving cars that i don't care about

Sorry, does nothing for me. Toooooooooooooo modern. don't suppose your in Essex, i know a sporty one (did they do a GT) in a breakers yard. Might be good for bits if you find one.
