What a line-up! Looks like a great day out.
Yes we got Lancer here, think 120Y/Viva/Escort competitor. Ratdat saw a nice early Lancer and posted pic’s on the Datsun forum a while back, and I’ve got pic’s of a couple seen some years ago. Very rarely seen nowadays sadly, can’t recall many/any turning up at shows. There’s a 1600 sporty 2dr version (GSR?), but they never did a coupe of it as such – the Celeste filled that role.

Great pics and an interesting variety of cars there too. For me the LA Lancer really stands out as the one I'd most like to have. I'd like a 2 door Lancer of that age but they seem to be virtually extinct now. Ratdat saw a nice early Lancer and posted pic’s on the Datsun forum a while back The one I saw was a silver four door. Quite a while ago now...   There's also one in a scrappy near me but that is a 2 door. It's the slightly later facelift though with the bigger tail lights...  |

Interesting! I've never seen that tail-lamp setup before. There's two common types over here, the one in the pictures shown and then one where the lamps aren't L-shaped and are more conventional looking. Were all the UK ones like that? |
