Buy a Renault 5 GT Turbo?
I know they go bang and have a bad image, but it would be totaly standard.
Hell i don't even like FWD but i really have a yearning for one of these, unless you can think of something of similar size/price and RWD?
Yes or No?

I'd love an early 5 turbo but I'm not keen on the looks of the later GT turbo. I bet it's a hoot to drive though. I've driven an 11 turbo and that was fun so I can image the 5 is similar only faster.

Went and looked at a Raider on Saturday. Sweet engine with only a ghey dump valve, although removed and hole plugged with a socket extension.! Shame though because the ad said, "needs some bodywork" on getting there it was clear a whole respray was req. Along with rust on drivers side sill and under front screen corner (from what i've read bad place). Still kicking myself for missing this one by £150 although not standard except for looks. One of my mates had a Raider.....like a true Barry he walloped a pair of mahoosive subs on the back shelf, cranked them up, stood back to admire his handiwork.... .....and watched in horror as 4 zillion watts of Ace Of Base (this was 1993, BTW) shattered his engraved 'RAIDER' back window.  |
