test fitted the new adjustable strut tops earlier, they fitted pretty well just need to make a few minor adjustments to the design plenty of clearance in the strut tower and you can adjust them through the OG hole in the strut tower, result

Just skimmed through this thread for the first time. Gotta love these cars - proportions are just so right and still look cracking today - even the dash looks right up to date. I don't normally like black or CF bonnets - they just look like someone had an accident and couldn't be bothered to paint the new bonnet - but yours looks great the way you took the black down into the grille - very menacing So what is the final colour choice ? I normally like white but think the tangerine really looks the best !!

I brought the paint last week, but will leave it a surprise till I paint it, In other news, managed to get my hands on a nice low mile L28 from an auto, so hasn't ever been abused really, I have stripped it and checked it over and its all good, also got hold of some 87mm forged pistons today, so will get the block bored and bottom end balanced, and head ported and polished, but I'm on look out for a nice LD28 crank, if I can find one and some shorter rods to maybe go a bit bigger and stroker it to 3.1

I have never owned a car with an engine bay this shinny I need to keep wiping off the grubby finger prints, I have been fitting the servo and master cylinders for clutch and brakes and also running new brake lines in the bay made with some cupro nikel pipe, needed to run new fuel lines under the car and a new brake line for the rear brakes, 8mm feed and 6mm return, some people don't run a return when using triple DCOE's but I think its a good idea, eases the pressure on the needle valves in the float bowls. 6mm came in the post this morning so can run that tonight, then I stripped back the loom as it had insulting tape all over it and it was covered in oil and making my new paint dirty ! re-wrapped in new proper loom tape, still a bit to do on the lights and indicators left, The area behind the grill is ment to be painted satin black, so you cant see it through the grill but I'm kinda liking it white at the mo, so may just leave it for now and see what it look like all back together Hoping to get the engine and box back in this weekend

last nights jobs included fitting a gear box after fixing this, Fuel lines routed to where I need them, I'm gonna relocate the fuel pump under the rear where it is on later cars now to tidy up the bay, a bit nearer to getting the engine in now

Cheers Dudes had a few parcels yesterday A nice performance camshaft for the L28 build and some new valve springs to go with it, So that's another item ticked off the list, So far i've got 87mm forged flat top pistons, now the cam and springs just need to save a few quid and get the rods next Been trying to find a good set of drip rail trim's since I got the car but none seem to ever come up for sale ? but snapped some up the other day, Also this morning in work I managed to get on a miller and make the 25mm offset RCA prototype, you can get them from the USA but I just get bit more satisfaction if I can make them myself and save a few quid to. Will test fit it the weekend and see if it needs any tweaking, It should widen the front track by 25mm a side and give me some more camber, tied in with the top mounts I made I should have a nice bit of adjustment then.
