this is all rather un-necessary imo.
if people didnt like the thread - then just don't reply to it. it'll soon fall to page 2 and be forgotten about allowing everyone the chance to concentrate on the better stuff.

As much as everyone doesnt know the rules on here, I think its definately a good idea to encourage avoiding non car related topics on here regardless of how cool it is. If this board started filling up with off topic chat id for one probabaly stop visiting as I come here to discuss and read about retro cars.
