Result of today's work on the car
New (to me) set of seatbacks off a later Amazon, complete with factory fit headrests. Even have adjustable lumbar support too ;D The covers don't quite match the rest of the interior, but when I can be bothered I'll use the covers from the original back rests to recover these ones. In the meantime, it was much easier to just fit them complete - only 4 bolts per seat & the lumbar adjustment knob
. The driver's one has some damage and has been previously bodge repaired with a piece of vinyl & spray glue
, hence the duct tape to keep it off my clothes. As I'm a nice chap, I put the good one on the passenger side
Cost just £55 inc p&p from a guy in the VOC which i thought was excellent especially since an Amazon specialist is selling pairs of secondhand headrests with new fixing kits for a total of £140 + p&p (& presumably also + VAT)
& then there's still the hassle of fitting them....
