Never looked at this thread before, no idea why!
Looks like you've done some great work, really impressed with how cheaply you got the Minivan. Out of interest, how are you funding all of your projects?

Getting there ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Any plans for a repaint and have you decided which wheels? Have to say I'm liking the wide ats(?) ones further up, wouldnt mind a set of those myself! although the vw ones do suit it in a strange way and maybe with a little spacing. Good effort so far ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I love the ats but there 2 small, just not drives me with them on, I really want to paint the car myself but just unsure on the best method as I want to do it right the first time and it not cost a fortune as my budget is very limited. I save and don't buy expensive parts, I sometimes sell bits aswell 2 answer your question:), also I got an amazing deal on all of them ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

When you say the ATS were too small do you mean the car sat too low on them? What size were the tyres? Have you thought about the roller method for paint? Did mine and it came out ok ( although will need to redo a few bits) and came in at about £40 including paint and rollers etc. A bit of wheeler dealing is always good on a project, thats how most of mine are done, sell the bits you don't need to get the bits you do and always keep an eye out for bargains ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Cool, did wonder if 13's were a little small. The 5 panel mirror is cool but does take a little bit of getting used to. Means I have no blind spots which has to be a good thing!!

you don't need a 50ltr, I've resprayed a good few cars with my little 25ltr one. It can be a pain as you have to wait some times to get the pressure back, but work panel by panel and its fine (did my brothers Volvo Amazon with it and that's a fair bit more area than a MX5 ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )

Have a look on youtube for "dipmyride", genuinely impressive what they've been doing, but your going to need spray equipment. If you've not got access to a compressor then I'd either be going down the rustoleum route and rollering, or getting some graffiti spray cans with fat caps and do it with that

You are certainly making it "Your" MX ! And I like the 5 spoke Mazda alloys (But I am biaised as I have them on my MX)

The mx alloys are temp as have good tyres got them for £35, cheap drift wheels tbh and it's £300 for the full plastidip kit and that includes enough paint to do my mx, just can't decide
