So, if you look at the last picture of the van you will notice that at some point the bonnet has had a badge and been fillered and painted over, Unfortunatley this had started to crack and one day I decided to have a go at repairing it after school, so I took the chunk out, removed any rust fillered, sanded and primed, leaving the bonnet open slightly to dry as paint was on the lip of the bonnet, then my silly mistake, the next morning I overslept like every morning and quickly shot of to school, on the last road to school there tends to be no traffic so as I got to 35mph, yes I was speeding alittle bit, the bonnet flew up, luckily I noticed it so quick it didn't hit the windscreen, but the bonnet was knackered and would close anymore as it had warped. So yet again needed a replacement, so quick call to a friend who I bought the bumper off and she had a bonnet but a rather unfortunate colour, but for a tenner, couldn't go wrong. Tadah, terrible colour but kind of liked the bonnet scoops Nothing like abit of fun with a spray can, as long as it wasn't grafitti Finally stopped messing around and got it paint as was loosing the day light, black was the only colour I had at the time so no point buying other

Once my eBay purchase bonnet badge arrived that was fitted an I honestly loved the result I hope you will all agree Stickers became a bit sun faded so actually looked abit better although some were started to peel even though it had several layers of laquer.

so again, was driving the car for a while and loving it apart from the faulty fuel sender which would go from a 1/4 to just empty and stop, i have got a replacement but still havent got around to fitting it haha, so on the last day of school we went to the pub to celebrate and it just stopped,so whilst i was at the petrol station getting fuel, my firends were having a right laugh

So the time came where the Clubman was just in the way now, id turned down a cash offer that i never should have refused and was stuck with the car taking up valuable garage space, so i spoke to a friend of mine oldskoollews who had been bugging me for a while to do a swap with him, so after a lot of nagging i finally made the swap with him allthough he got a much better deal out of it than me thats for sure haha. so we loaded up the clubman onto the truck ready for its journey from manchester down to northampton. looking very sorry for itself indeed but atleast we arrived in one piece and got it unloaded at his house ready to collect my second dream classic after a mini its new home

so we got the golf going although it was as rough as a bag full of bolts, so it got moved down to my dads m8's garage to get looked at properly. now the corsa next to it, yeh well thats another rental car and ill tell you the reason why... the mini van i had been driving for around 10-11 months when 1 day i was driving and went to turn a corner and the car kept going straight, no not black ice and no i didnt skid but the steering coloumn had decided to destroy all its teeth meaning i lost my steering. althought the new wheels were the same size and width, due to the dish it had put strain on the steering so that cause it to go, we replaced the rack and coloumn at the same time and back on the road i went. so i was driving round my local area when suddenly on someones drive i see a lovely 1998 red mini seven (rover) cant be written small enough haaha, it was a beautiful car and i knew as soon as my dad had checked the mechanical and my mum saw it she'd fall in love and id end up owning it. so about a few days later i arrived to collect this. so this car wasnt being messed with, no mods, just keep origional and enjoy driving it. and trust me the insurance on this nearly killed me at a stupid 4k

So, i leave school after a lesson at 5pm and get to the first set of lights and I'm at the front of the queue and of course with my luck 1 year later from the last accident and Bam, stupid cow in an audi decided she wanted to go through the amber light that changed from red before id even started to move, this resulted in this hence me having the silver corsa in previous picture

so again i was without my classic car and it finally came to it and i was in a bloomin corsa, horrible gutless thing it was, so i phoned up my m8 Lewis who i swapped the golf with and said your repairing this for me, so the pay out got the car 4 new Tyre's, 2 new a panels and a full rear end rebuild back to normal. i told him i was collecting the car a week later. so i was due in Birmingham that weekend and i got a phone call, the a panel still hasn't arrived were not sure if we can finish it in time. Panic i had no option it was either drive it with no a panel as had no choice or drive it partly complete, so Lewis finally got the panel and rushed to get the job done professionally so got there to a well done car and was told to stay away from the paint, luckily driving a mini 80mph down the motorway fully loaded with wet paint went without a hitch and the car was dry by the time i got to brum, luckily with no added flies in the paint this is as straight as i could get it, so he did have a job on as it had full on wrinkled up with the work OLDSKOOLLEWS does its not a suprise hes gone into car resto business, hes on here if anyone needs anything done at stupidly good prices. so back together and looking amazing and i know had an even minter rust free late mini, it looked stunning heres a pic mid repair of the clubby estate aswelll so once it was back home again it was happy driving again and yes thats the golf which is undergoing some work which i will speak about later

so i was coming to the end of my insurance in the red mini and started to panic about insurance prices due to 2 non fault accidents where the claims werent settled so with a renewal of £5500 they were told where to go and the mini got put up for sale so after a good clean and wax i was going to put the car online, when i mentioned to a friend of mine with the same name as me funnily enough that it was for sale, he instantly gave me his mums number and said shes wanted one for 15 years. so it was a very easy sale and the mini got some replacement much cooler gold stripes that i came up with and got made and one afternoon fitted them before she was due to come see the car. to this day i still really dislike pepperpots :/ there just so ugly the funniest thing about selling this mini was she was a manchester city supporter and didnt want to be driving a united colour car, its a good thing i don't like football. so anyway the car sold and we arrange to do a few bits to it as the last day of my insurance i caught the aftermarket exhaust on a manhole cover and damaged it so that needed sorting, and a window runner which was faulty. the car is now up for sale due to her not driving it enough and keeps catching the exhaust, i told her thats just how minis are but ahh well, if anyone fancies it get in touch. so decided to redo a memory i had in the van so good bye to that mini

so now came the dreaded point, please don't think I'm spoilt but i really didnt want a new car, but due to health issues.thats exactley what happened. so i took collecting of my 2012 vw polo 1.2 turbo diesel, brilliant car and does great mpg, couldnt have asked for much more, I'm very lucky to have it and such a good spec it carries tools,wheels and every thing else and travels the country on great mpg but thats not the end of the classics by any means

so swiftly moving back onto the classics the white vw mk1 had been at the garage getting new coil leads etc to try and get it running right, finally so me and a friend got to drive it round the business park a few times before it died luckily we made it 99% of the way back to its parking space before it gave up completly. so i had a couple of options, the first idea before getting my polo was a 1.9 tdi, fast great mpg and still old school, sounded perfect but just not as simple as i wanted it to be. so luckily i found a guy who was stripping and sellling bits off his 1.8gti and i though yep thats the perfect route to go for, a cool gti powered more door

Man I love the van, I was looking at it thinking I recognise the van, but when I knew it, it had a big stereo system in the back, and, bam, there it was. I knew this car when it was owned by someone at an army camp in Suffolk when I was based there, and I've always wondered what happened to it as I have wanted it ever since If you ever sell it, first dibs please (although I'm guessing that that is highly unlikely ) Great fleet, keep up the good work.
