Make - VW Model - Golf GTI 3dr 8v Colour - Red T&T - 12 months test/no tax Location - Leicester Contact - 07867361957 Hi! Here is my nice example of an early mk2 GTI. It is the small bumper model and has the quaterlights in the front windows which is nice! PICS (taken today - 09-02-2013)                    I bought this as a project last year but I don't have the time to finish it right now. Actually, I have just bought a 911 project so it's definitely not going to get done! Good points - It is a nice early 3dr MK2 GTI 8v in the best colour, red. Totally original throughout. 12 months MOT A shed load of history Runs great No heater issues Comes with BBS RA's with good tyres which are clean all round. Old school Clarion head unit which works! Working MFA Clean interior Good bodywork with little to no rust A boot FULL of OEM spares including interior/exterior trim parts, brand new sealed engine components, a brand new boxed clutch, timing belt etc etc Fully overhauled brakes from the master cylinder to new lines and calipers which are MK3 GTI calipers. Bad points - Surface rust on drivers door - Could benefit from a polish to make really nice although it is perfectly useable as is. - Needs the tracking doing It really would not take much work at all to make this little beauty mint so it is a bargain for someone! I will include all the spares as well which are worth a good few ££ on their own. Viewings any time in Leicester £800 - Bargain! Thanks! |

It is a nice example to be fair - Uninterfered with and all original paint, mouldings, OEM pinstripe, the nice early seats. It will make a fantastic car for someone!
Plenty of history, and it has done just over 100k IIRC...
As mentioned above it is in the pit of nowhere at the mo behind a million cars so it is a bit difficult. I am going to try and get it out on Thurs and sort the bits out, apologies for that!!!

Not going to be able to make it down tomorrow I`m afraid, I`ve got a couple of people coming to look at cars; 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
I`d still be interested in pictures though, especially of any bad areas/rust/interior etc. If we could strike a deal, I could collect over the weekend.

Sorry guys... Of course it's an 86! I had it in my head it was an A plate although thinking about it, that would be a mk1 (doh!). Not sure on the owners but the current owner on the logbook has had it for ten years I think. I'm out of the country at the mo but ill check when I get back  |
