Good grief! I'd never have thought that them two would go together so well. I admire the fact that you're stretching the width of the shell, I'd probably have just wanged on arches! Also, another vote for clubman front end. Keep up the good work  |

I did it this way to take the best of the mx5 and use all its stuff, instead of having to make everything, the car will be driveable throughout the whole job, then any engine work can be done in the winter. |

Thats gonna be sweet! How youre plannin to fix the steerin column/front seat arrangment? If you are of course, i wouldnt mind gettin in from the rear LOL I personally would have built a frame and fit the engine and suspension on it, but i can see the reasonin behind the "rebodying" thing. Thumbs upp |

Fantastic work going on here, just love this conversion.
The stretch on the rear and moving the light housings out is just right.
It's a shame you couldn't have kept the wheel arches a bit nearer to Mini proportions though. What wheel/tyre size are you intending to use?

I love this, awesome chassis choice and fantastic body body choice, the two together work so right. Little touches like moving the rear lights over when widening the rear pillars may hint at just how great the finnished article is going to be. With the pillars like that hardcore mini people may be fooled into thinking its a fibreglass kit body or summink, here we see the skillz.

I like the body flair idea, it's hardly going to be noticeable when done, but it'll make a lot of different when you get the new arches fitted.

Just a thought - but couldn't you have "just" inserted the extra width right through the centre of the car? As per Issigonnis and the Morris 1000? But the flair works well.

This is looking bloody lovely! Coming along nicely too.
Loving the use of fence posts too - you know you're not going to have any rot issues using those galv'd and powder coated beauties!
As already said, great choice with the '5 and the Clubby looks to be growing into its new shoes nicely!

But then you'd need custom glass making and trying to not warp the roof would be fun as you weld in a strip to fill the hole. I like were this is heading |

The rear wings have been flaired, and very nice too, but with the rear being wider now, substantially towards the bottom, is this being continued forward through the car? Otherwise that rear wing will be flexed by the time it reaches the back of the font door/B-pillar area?
