Reluctantly I am going to be selling my version of the 6C. It has an MoT and runs well but could do with a cosmetic refurb. It has been featured in the AROC magazine and Retro Car magazine as well as build threads on Alfa websites. It is probably one of the best known Sprints around today. I will be losing my storage space and have too many other cars...... So what sort of price should I pitch it at and where would be the best place to sell? Advert in Pistonheads? Anglia Auction, Autotrader? E Bay?

Wow. What a build. Has this been driven in anger as looks it would be fun on the track/back roads.
This forum and Carandclassic is another option. Think its free to put up an ad and at least it should mean a few less timewasters than on ebay.

Thanks Eurogranada and JimJim The 6C certainly is a "fun" drive - the engine pulls like a train in all five gears but really starts to "sing" above 3000 rpm. It is quite loud and raspy. The steering is light with no power assistance and, being mid engined, it changes direction like a big Go-kart! The braking is really good with the better weight distribution. I have not driven it on a track or on the Strip so do not know what its performance is against a stop watch, but it is much lighter than a 164 and the engine doesn't drive the power steering or air con pumps and has a less restrictive exhaust.....

Well the 6C is now up for sale on Autotrader - over 1500 views and several "expressions of interest" ...but no sale yet....

That seems to be the general user experience these days on the bay of e's...
Good luck once more, hope this time it sells. It's a lovely car!

This selling saga continues....A buyer who never made a payment, a late top bidder from Holland who then realised it was a RHD car! A buyer who was surprised to see that a £3.5k car needed a bit of bodywork refurbishment. Grrrrr. Still if it is not sold I will take it to the Pod on Sept 23rd for the RWYB.

For £3.5k I'm tempted, in fact if I had my garage in which to give it some TLC the MX5 would be going and I'd be scrabbling down the back of the sofa for the remainder. What a car!

I think it's a fair and honest price. I think Ollie should buy it and then when I come over for rrg next year I can drive it.
This seems like the right thing you should do Ollie.

Well it went to the Pod - but ran out of fuel 1/2 mile from the petrol station on the way! Then I was told I could not run with treaded tyres....Much discussion and tooeing and frooeing and waiting around later, I was told that I could run - but it was too late and I had to get the car back and return home - and it did play up on my return as the water is not circulating to the radiator properly. Grrrr and it is back on the 'Bay.

Sprint 6C now sold to a London based "Alfisti". Cash paid and car taken away full of spare parts. So ends my second bout of Alfa ownership. It has been a demented few days moving out of my "Big workshop" and getting all my stuff back to our house. Some farewell pics to follow when I recover!

Well the 6C still exists and it has been bought by "Luden Automotive" about 8 months ago. They have posted a "You Tube" video of the engine running and intend to refurbish the car. It is nice to know that it will get some care and attention.

I know this may sound a silly question but is 6C related to the Lancia Beata Coupe?

I know this may sound a silly question but is 6C related to the Lancia Beata Coupe? No the 6C was built by Alfa Romeo - based on the Boxer engine Sprint - which in turn was based on the Alfasud.
