Yes, the yellow car is my NZ assembled 1972 Chrysler Valiant Charger, next to that is my freshly restored 1975 Avenger.
The louvres on the bonnet look kick ass, I don't know if I will keep them because I have moulds for fibreglass bonnet and boot (with spoiler)

I will try to keep them, I love the look of them. the only reason I would put in a fibreglass bonnet would be the weight savings.
It is also going to have a pretty wicked bonnet scope/bulge to fit the big downdraft webers

Hi guys. So I have decided on a bit of a change of direction for my V8 Avenger. I have decided to drop the Rover V8 and go for a Toyota 1UZ-FE instead. I have just started on the first of my spending spree's. First up I brought a '94 1UZ-FE and a set of OBX independent throttle bodies. The rest of my plans for the engine include some new cams and to flow the heads a bit. next on my shopping list is a R154 gearbox and Hilux LSD. Here are some photos.

The Avenger will be such an awesome weapon with the big v8 Thanks. It should be pretty quick when I am finished. Latest purchase. LSD unit for a hilux diff. Next up is to measure the Avenger diff and buy a similar length diff. The hard part is going to be finding the right ratio diff head, I am after a 3.7:1 which is pretty hard to find.

Thanks. Another update. Started stripping the V8 Brought my Hilux housing, it is about 100mm wider than the Avenger diff so it will help with the wide body mods. I tracked down a 3.9 diff head which I will get next weekend.

Thanks. Yup, she will be great at converting rubber in to smoke Might have to buy some big wide sticky tyres for normal cruising and some cheap skid tyres when I want to have fun.

Hi guys. A quick update. I have got the 3.9:1 hilux diff head to complete the rear end. I have also continued to strip the V8 and install the new transmission. and like the last scene from the movie "Seven", a head in a box.
