Model: Datsun 1200 (VB110 Sunny) Year:1974 Mileage: I cant remember! i'll find out though! Tax: None MOT: None Pics: Below Location: Grimsby Price: £600 Contact details: pm on here or reply to thread please There's only 2 of these as far as I know in the UK, and this is the second of them  It looks a lot worse than it is! It was sat in a chicken shed for years so is very surface rusty - it isn't mega rotten though - and doesnt look to have had any previous welding. It actually runs fantastically well! It'll obviously need a thorough recommisioning, brakes etc, but with a small amount of welding and some brake work it'd actually probably MOT! It's sat on some nice deep dish 13" steels. Just to add, I can vouch for this wagon. It needs a little bit of welding but is considerably more structurally sound than you'd think looking at it. Flloors, chassis and inner wings bottoms are good in all the places they usually go. From what I remember it needs work on the inner wing tops, front crossmember, rear arch doglegs and a little bit on the floor pans in the front. Sills are good. The rest is cosmetic. Get it with the panels and it'd be an easy restore. It actually ran and drove great when it went into the shed.
It's an absolute steal at this price. And about as rare a Datsun as you'll ever find!

I'll thrice vouch for it, when you see it in reality it's absolutely rock solid. Even if you just treated the rust and brush-painted over it in the meantime it'd look 5000% better.

I think its 760kg so a tad overweight, although sans carpets etc you might just get away with it!

I found a sales brochure for the estate and that has it at 1609lbs in the specifications. That's just under 730kg! Even lighter than I thought!

If anyone wants to be a hero for a year, get this, (properly) drop it on some super shiny JDM wheels and win the world. Then next year get it all prepped and resprayed, then win the world again. Erm... Mike ... whilst you are tidying up your car collection,.. what is in the background of this picture ?? Or is this at Ed's place?  |
