Hahaha, I could of bought some £700 coilovers for it and then took the helpers out and wound them rite down which achieves exactly the same as taking the springs out!! Pull your heads out your a**e and you might crack a smile you could even make someone else smile, that would be special wouldn't it haha... Why, because they asked you a question about it? Some way to help sell your car I must say. Why is the Micra 'insanely rare' by the way, aren't there loads of Micras about? |

I've created cars without suspension and looked cool in the process, but I certainly wouldn't be making out like it's a recommended mod, or indeed suggesting that people had their heads up their a**e for asking a perfectly sensible question. Let's keep it civil, shall we? If you want a Micra with no springs, this could be the car for you. If not, look elsewhere please. |

You could cut the roof off of a car to make it look cool but it could make it potentially lethal to drive. At what point do you say "You know what?" "Selling a potentially dangerous car on here is not on." I'm all for modifying but If you are driving a car without any suspension then that is dangerous, its a complete no brainer! By all means modify but if you remove the whole bloody lot then you are asking for the curse word to hit the fan. This isnt e'bay or Auto trader, If somebody kills themselves driving that thing the impact on this type of forum will be immense, it will kill the hobby. Thats why everybody agrees thats its a big no no to get the mig out and band your own steels in the back garden. Yes modify but for chrissakes do it with a brain between your earholes. |

I'm a bit miffed that you've quoted me and then agreed with what I said, but in case the subtlety and politeness of my post meant other people missed the message I'll include a bit of your own post in the last line of my original one: If you want a potentially lethal to drive Micra with no springs, this could be the car for you. Look I took the springs out that was my choice I don't see how it's lethal haha, it's the same as every lad with coilovers wound rite down, and it's a super s there very rare there's not many left at all!! I'm not forcing anyone to drive it infact you can't drive it as it has no clutch so like it says trailor away, put the springs back in when you slap a clutch on it...if you don't want to buy it why are you so bothered about? Retro rides has got so anal with all it's law abiding citizens, it's a very old school trick back in my day there was an incredible amount of cars that took the springs out to achieve lows, why is everyone so stiff necked?

Theres so many reasons why you should not remove your springs, that if you can't see any of them, you must simply be a 1-eyed hunchbacked cretin with a bunch of carrots on each wrist instead of operable hands.

That link doesn't work, these are hard to get hold of now there was a super s with no mot or tax on the bay the other day people was bidding it up to 600 and it still had 2days left the guy might be an idiot but he's got a rare car, I hope he doesn't scrap it |
