It cant of been sheer vertical, it cant of been! See BMX, Moto X, and MTB 'Wall ride' tricks, they go up, but when momentum is over they fall, or do it in a nice arc which is best bet! bLoody amazing though all the same! best one i can find.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

It wont be sheer vertical, but not far off. Ive seen this stuff before, i think its a speciality of norway? Somewhere like that.
They do it with light vehicles and LOTS of power ;D

these are those nitro 4x4 cars the run in iceland. the genereate soo much wheel speed they can litereally drive across flat water.
i bet that wasnt far off a sheer vericle face. it is the material of hte cliff face that helped on that climb it looked quite grippy.

Yup used to watch it all the time on C4 back in the day....Gusili gusili Gunson! Great stuff. 1000-2000BHP blown N20'd injected smallblocks the majority of them use. Here's a good video of last year's (IIRC) stuff: videos.streetfire.net/video/b6e8ee09-659c-40b4-9c05-1d07f06ac10a.htmAnd yes, they do ascend vertical bits in parts! Most of them never make it though, they simply fall back ;D It's frigging awesome and something I'd love to see in the flesh or have a go at (although I don't think I'd have the kahunas to do what they do!)

Amazing stuff! 10/10 for the balls these blokes have But,a lot has to do with the surface they climb. The blokes in the states do this kind of thing, but only on rocks that provide massive grip for the tyres!

The yanks ain't got nothing on this. This is just automotive suicide at it's finest Most of the Norwegian/Icelandic blokes are doing it on loose dirt/sand surfaces! ;D An excellent video demonstrating how loose the surfaces usually are! It's just flat out, balls-to-the-wall, grim determination that gets it done. Plus a few stonking V8 ;D >edit< I may have misintepreted your post (due to beer/time etc) - apologies if I did - but regardless......any excuse to post some more photos and another video ;D

Yea, a lot of the finals are like that ;D
On most occasions two or three make it up though - it's having the comittment to build up enough velocity to clear the vertical part but not overspeed or rev in mid air, which'll bring the car rolling back on itself!

Do their tyres have a big part to play too? They look to have almost paddle-like tread on them.

Yea, much like James observed when he went tractor pulling, they generate a lot of their forward motion by throwing the track in the other direction ;D

So what happens when you almost make it but not quite? Is it the same as falling off a cliff?
