i've driven the van for work a few hundred miles around the local area in the last fortnight or so. its been fine and of course being me i had a wee 50mph chase race with some boggo car t'other day which i won down some windy road...
anyhow so theres not been any problem, i used it to tow the advertising trailer this morning, and went out to a few customers too.
the big boss came down this morning and i took him out in the van. not even out of sight of the shop and a car is stopped to turn right. i brake late as they'd had plenty of time to turn but didnt. as soon as i did, the van started to slide. i downshifted and flicked the wheel, *skilfully* avoiding a major accident and then proceeding to do a full 180 turn, going uphill up a side road sideways and ending up pointing back where i'd come from across the two lanes.
parked her up, its a damp day, but not frozen, no standing water, no diesel on the road, road wasnt even overly slippyand the tyres on the van all have at least 5mm tread. front two are 2-4psi low but not flatting at the bottom.
van is a 52 plate kangoo for reference, and was unloaded (as per usual)
i'm still kinda in shock because i simply cant explain it.
boss wasnt overly impressed, i've never had anyone else i work with beside me and iv'e done a couple of international runs for them already...
