A message from someone covered in curse word.
yes f*ck cars, I hate them, they suck, I need a new hobby, such as "tea drinking in a relaxed enviroment"
got a girl friends fiesta here, failed mot last week, replacement cat only arrived today.. 10days for free retest is up soon.. she doesnt want to pay for another mot.
just broke the news to her that the shitting useless parts company sent me the wrong cat. and now not enough time to return and get another one at the price I paid between now and friday. curse word.
she doesnt want me to cut the cat or the exhaust because and I quote " you will F*ck it up" charming. but i'm ignoring that though, I wont cut the cat if she doesnt want, but the rest of the p*ssin exhaust is going to get raped by me and my grinder.
the only upside today is that I found a whole basket of exhaust clamps. and I found some halogen work lights so for a change I can actually work at night on my drive and see what I am doing.
so yeh, why is nothing never simple. I envy those people on here who whenever they touch a car seem to re-engineer something and turn a turd into a pasterpiece. I just seem to turn turdmobiles into superturdmobiles.
sorry for the rant but I had to get this off my chest.
so in summary. screw cars they can suck my sack.

:)What kind of Fiesta is it? It shouldn't be a problem getting the right catalyst by Friday I wouldn't have thought. Easier than trying to modify the exhaust to fit the wrong one anyway. Are you replacing it because of a failed emmision test? OHV Fiestas usually need a damn good clear out [thrash] to pass the emmisions even with a new cat!

L reg 1.1 curse word mobile.
yeh but everywhere i phone around sells stupid expensive cats. i found an internet place and it was £50 delivered.
yeh i was going to give it a garageshitenterprises (tm) offical clear out. (rag it)
the old cat is well and truly up the curse word. yeh i gave up on bodgeing the exhaust idea as it was way too much hassle and work as the one they sent me was absolutely nothing like what i needed.

well being a pimp, i got many bitches on my arm, shame they all drive curse word cars that i have to fix. my pimp hand is weak. I'm a push over.nah its just the one girl that i seem to have become personal 'mechanic' for. i keep telling her a garage would charge her enough to do the mot work for it. but i think she sees it as well at least a garage would do it right, but in my defence its not my fault some curse word cant read partnumbers and sent me the wrong bit.
i really wish i hadnt got roped into this one. my pride and my skilzzZzzz is on the line yo. f*ck it.

I don't fix cars for people that don't understand them, to them every job should take 5mins and cost next to nothing.
They are usually ungrateful because it cost too much or took too long and if it doesnt go perfectly, its all your fault.
Its just not worth it.

yeh thats pretty much how i feel right now. don't actually feel like doing work for anyone else again. they'll understand when i tell them to get stuffed and they can pay £40/hr or whatever it is garages rape you for these days.
i cant deal with the drama in my life i have enough of my own curse word cars to be dealing with let alone a soddin fiesta stuck on the drive.

Just learn the art of the - sucks breath thro teeth whilst looking solemn - The cocked head (trained ear) silence And above all the well trained "I'm not really very knowledgable about these....... Probably take me 3 times as long as a garage to fix it and a fortune in parts as I swap old bits for new in an attempt to find the fault - all of which are non returnable I cant deal with the drama in my life I have enough of my own curse word cars to be dealing with let alone a soddin fiesta stuck on the drive. yes, i think time for a crack down on freebies. i even knocked money off my usual diff welding price the otherday just cos the guy was nice bloke. I'm too bloody soft when it comes to helping. let my mates use my unit all the time for free, let them store cars there for free. weld stupid exhausts up for mates for free.
i think now things must change. maybe i'll change my screen name to rearwheelc*nt or something to show a new arsey "no I'm not helping" approach.
i think i'll sort this fiesta now and get it an mot whether she wants it or not, then fudge it. do my own stuff.
cheered myself up though by thinking about new car this saturday.

Spot on absolutely. me too a little too late but good time to start, we're spent. so the issue is: 'unrecognised/unpaid favours SUCK' Cars are just a bit stubborn and difficult at time, and part numbers don't match , and cats are near pointless. that was easy now hit that last freebie 1.1 curse word mobile with attitude after you have had a break, or a big hammer!

EvAh.
Even when I try fix stuff on the wifeymobile I get grief. I'd rather pay for that fixing now.
I don;t mind helping mates on their cars. I don't even mind if that "helping" equates to me doing 90% of the work and them passing spanners and the like. So long as they share the experiance.

Theres a group of us locally (all in the same car club although I'm the only one with a club car now!) and that sort of thing works well - I've helped with swapping engines and boxes and had help with swapping them in my car. No-one takes the curse word and everyone will help if they can. I'm happy with that.

Know exactly what you mean matey. Unless they are really good mates who understand enough about cars to appreciate how long everything takes, then screw 'em.
Ever since people (mates as they like to call themselves) find out I'm a car nut I now have a never ending line of people asking me what's wrong with their cars and why it won't work properly.
When asked when was it's last service they look at you funny and mouth the word service with a look of utter confusion. Bloody stoodents. They can all chuffing well walk for all I care.
