Yeah for a decent walking foot you'll be looking between 1-2k. Any high temp brush on contact adhesive is ideal. Never use spray glue!! You've been told

Another bit done on the Clio 197 Handbrake panel trimmed. Even on a top of the range limited edition car they still fitted it with a plastic cover for the handbrake. The owner requested I make it look more like it had a gaiter and to add a stitch to split the handle from the gaiter.
