I got my MG midget at 17, now insurance tax and repairs were funded my my folks (gotta love em, all repairs done by myself and my dad). However fuel was up to me, so I just just used to work every saturday for fuel money. I was at college at the time so any bit of cash was alot. While at uni I was earning excellent money so thats when the mods to the car came.
In our house hold it was kinda compulsery to get a form of transportation and my folks paid for our driving test and lessons, they see it as a independance, plus the job that I do requires a driving licence. So all in all I paid for nothing apart from a bit of jungle juice.
