HAHA. Quality.
It's a bit wide of the mark saying that the site itself is 'irresponsible' considering that pork-sword-cruncher got thirty pages of hardcore dissing for being such a grade-A MONG.

Well, its a local newspaper. When were they actually interested in facts more than printing the parocihial views of their mostly middle aged readership?

yeah, crazy fool, but media and police attention is so annoying as it only cos other people are noticing it, just like this weeks important topics in the main general news. Politicians and public into a TV programme that reflects a small fraction of real life, rather adressing the real problems or their own business.
Like pog said, the people on that site did wel to flame the muppet. he's lucky to be alive, so you should expect he has learnt a lesson with a trashed Skyline.
interesting to see what happens though...

I can see the appeal. Office-based policing. It's great. Wait for someone else to detail and publish some evidence of an inconsequential, done-and-dusted indcident for you to start pontificating over in a highly patronizing manner, then refuse to get off your fat jacksie to help the people that in the mean time have been ringing in desperation, reporting all manner of crimes that require immediate attention.

Hahaha that's superb, you can just imagine it now, him referring to the car as an R32 (as so many Skyline owners do) and the confused journalist typing R32 into Google and "solving" his mystery that way. The dobbin.

I don't think he can be done by the rozzers as they only have 14 days from the incident to start proceedings, unless I'm getting confused......
Deserves to get done though, pillock.

I loved the shher kwality of the reporting, one says nissan the other said it was a golf, and this bit made me spit my cornflakes all over the cat as if they're gonna do anything about it? I got run off the road by a drunk driver, got reg, make, model and description of driver ,direction of travel etc and was less than 100yds away from a plod shop when it happened, were they interested? were they fig, " unless it was witnessed by an officer of the law its your word against hers" they wouldn't even put it out over the radio, despite the fact that she was soooooooo drunk she couldn't even keep it on a dual carriageway and kept hitting the kerbs and going on the grass.and it 3.30 on a weekday and there are 3 schools nearby.the only reason they want reg's is so they can set up a trap near their houses,or when they do pull them they can throw the book at them coz of previous 'complaints' .

I don't think he can be done by the rozzers as they only have 14 days from the incident to start proceedings, unless I'm getting confused...... Not as far as I know. Criminal matters have no statute of limitation these days. Otherwise you could just go out and murder people and just hide out while the 14 days went past... I would assume that they would class this as criminal? Obviously folks here have their own opinions of the cops and this is based on your experiance with them but a few years ago when I lived in the 'burbs there was a kid riding round on a 'ped with a loud exhaust about midnight and it was irritating me, so I rang the cops. Me: Sorry to bother you but theres this kid riding a moped past my house repeatedly and I don't think his exhaust is legal, its really loud and its stopping me sleeping. Cop: Well we can't have that now can we sir, give me your address and I'll get the nearest available car right over... 5 mins later theres a cop car hiding in the entry oposite my old house and when the kid comes past on his ped the cops swooped out SWAT style. I watched from my window as they gave him the full 3rd degree, producer, defect notice, the works and made him wheel (not ride) his ped home. I reported a couple of people for extremly bad driving (including a coupe of hot hatch fools who were obviously racing in town). I also wondered if they were joyriding stolen cars as they drivinfg was that insane. Real Police-Camera-Action stylie. I got a call back from the central control on that one telling me they were very sorry but they hadn't been able to get the helicopter over to the area because it was on duty elsewhere and the ground units had not been able to locate the two cars. If I spotted them again to make a note of licence details, descritpion of driver, etc etc. Again that was a few years ago.

I take everything in black n white that wraps chips, literally with a pinch of salt these days! its all glorified nonsense!

My parents live in Ringmer, and these people are a pain. I make a point of going past them at dead on 30, but in 2nd gear - they hear the revs and get all excited and write my number down in their little book. Besides which, the bloke who organises all the videotaping sessions is my sister's friend's dad - I've been in his car before and the speed limit in the village is the only one he sticks to, he'll happily do 45 through the 30 limit in the next village. NIMBY idiots.

I've been following this qwalitee story since it appeared here a coupla weeks ago... One thing's that had me pondering... as an amateur crash analyser (with my banger racing, and youthful crashing, I've got some experiance! ), it seems like a lot of damage, even considering the speed of 70. It's the straight road bit that makes me think... looking at the front, roof and boot damage, it looks like some rolling was involved? Does it seem to anyone else like there's too much going on damage-wise to be explained by dumping it in the weeds off an icy road at 70?

It may sound a little melodramatic but if I was the owner of that web site I'd be seriously considering legal action against that paper or that police officer for what is effectively a slanderous comment.

My dad's Granada looked worse and that went into (well, through 30 foots worth of fencing and several trees) at about ~30mph, so it's a bit difficult to judge It didn't roll either. And I've seen cars roll at less than 10mph as well, so again....... Could sit here coming up with ideas all day really and get the wrong thing
