That is mint indeed, love it!. For the best cars available it has to be Italy or Spain. You just can't beat the rust free condition. I have an Opel Rekord in the same condition from over in Spain. You just need to blow over the plastic back bits with a Hot air gun and it will concours.

It's a bit of exclusiveness aswell driving a Kadett version.

That is literally CHAMPION, what a total beauty. Great story as well - never even heard of it, being an Italian job. I would bang one right out over those rear arches alone! Any more pics of the interior & dash?

Nice looking example good to see some still alive in the uk. Please take special care. Only thing I don't like is the rims. Did the uk version of the 16v come with different rims. I know the south african 16V or super boss came standard with borbets on it in smoked grey, rolled rear arches, k&n airfilter, lsd, cosworth head etc. Would love to see yours in person especially lhd. A good example here will cost anything from 2000 uk pounds to 6000 uk pounds. But there were only 550 built to be able to compete against the bmw 325i in standard group n production racing and gave the beemer a whipping(the golf gti's weren't competitionas they couldn't keep up). So next time you take a look at your 16V gsi remember your preserving a heritage and a proud racing pedigree, and smile knowing that in south africa beemer drivers pulled over for Opels with that red 16V sticker on the bumper.

"big boss" was equivalent of 16v in SA, super boss that's something else.

Damn, that's clean! Loving the Connoly leather too. Look after it; can't see you'll ever find another with that spec and so genuine.
