Ive just blown my load on an 06 plate mondeo ST. So I'm selling my cheep daily runaround. 1998 Astra GLS with the later 1.7 Isuzu turbo diesel engine (ive been told it has the better roller bearing turbo) Mileage - 125,000 MOT - May 8th, 2013 Tax - April 30th, 2013 Usual GLS spec. leather steering wheel, electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, sunroof, colour coded bits, alloys. since I have owned it I have - Serviced it (engine oil + filter, fuel filter, air filter) - New alternator belt - New wiper blades - Part worn tyre (good tread) - Give it a damn good T-cut (just need to do the passenger doors when it stops raining) Previous owner replaced - Battery - Water pump - Rear brake pipes - And various other bits n pieces It is what it is. Its never let me down. Starts first time everytime. Drives straighter than most modern cars ive owned. Does exactly what it says on the tin and is good on fuel. Its very clean inside and out. Body work has a few stone chips on the bonnet and grill, a dent o/s/r quarter and some rust bubbles coming through in places but easily sorted out. Cheers mate, i think the race on the way home killed it ;D I think it's the diodes as battery was flat in morning and battery light stayed on too for a few minutes after we jumped it. If she behaves i might treat her to some GSI bumpers and wheels |

Check your fuses first mate,had this on a few cars now and it's often been the case,those things are bombproof!!!

Well theres another 100k in the engine. treat it to a manaul boost controller and Gauge up it from about 0.7 to 1.2 bar and increase fueling till you get some smoke at full throttle. world of fun and tourque steer. don't for get performance air filter and oild and filter anti freeze to:) |

Well fitted a brand new unit today to get it up and running quick. Yes been reading up on the fuel/boost mod but gonna start with binning the bump strips, v grill and lettering on the tailgate. But only when weather is better Thats enough for this thread. I'll have to get a thread up in the project section. Thanks ;D |

This could be up for sale soon as I fancy something upmarket like an E30 or audi. I've replaced altenator, glow plugs and a couple of tyres. Runs like a dream with no coolant loss etc and turbo comes in nicely at 2k rpm. Just a feeler for now but you're welcome to register your interest Price £595 ono. |

I remember doing the alternator on my Corsavan 1.7TD, it has an oil feed doesn't it? Couldn't work out where to put that little brackety thingy.
