He seems to have a thing for Porsche! But along with that there's some other pretty cool cars too like that Fiat Abarth and Datsun Z that I don't feel would necessarily be on every collectors radar.

Vintage race cars? Very, very few people can afford to run them. If the parts are no longer available, breaking something on the car can become terrifyingly expensive to fix. Not only do you need to re-create a part from scratch, but you could de-value the car by reducing the originality.

Personally, if he runs at least one of them at a couple of classic race meetings a year, then I think they're in the right hands. He's a career race driver who collects cars that he likes, which is a lot better than all the 'investors' who just buy cars to sit on them and let them increase in value. Besides, based on his website, it sounds like he's a dealer. Most, if not all, of these cars are advertised for sale. And it's a public museum with free entry. How much more could you want from an owner?!
