hi guys,,
thought i'd finally introduce myself and my car i'm shaun (molie or moleman) don't ask where the name come from as i'm not even sure
and below is many hours and a few quid spent rolling around in my lock up over the last couple of years my 83' mk1 astra, just a few pics of it through the motions hope you like
the start of it all as collected from a chap who used it for classic rally cross in petersfield
the strip down to see what i was dealing with
striped down and rolled into the bodyshop i don't mind getting my hands dirty but bodyworks not my strong point
both cills were replaced,
rear passenger arch and lower rear corner,
front slam panel and lower front valence for non-gte items
tailgate removed of badges, holes, rear wiper, washer jet,
sides had rivets for side trims removed, some minor smoothing sweige lines etc,
bay had some subtle smoothing battery relocated to boot, washer bottle moved, various brackets clips and holes removed and plated over,
into primer weird seeing it all one colour
then finally got shown the paint gun fully loaded with some of porsche's finest nutmeg brown
