^ Graveyard Carz. The planner is set. Don't bother! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) So scripted with fake tantrums aplenty. Lots of nothingness going on and with only 1 car that we actually see finished. The trailers made it seem like it was going to be so good. It's has just come to the end of the series with the "cliffhanger" being the Cuda going in the dipper for paint and rust stripping, that has he spent so long looking for and not found anything. He could not find a dipper that didn't use acid. Yet his guys find one that doesn't in what seemed like minutes and then it was hardly any distance away. I too have watched the whole very disappointing series mate! Mark Worman is a prick, and as you say, all scripted curse word with barely any resto action. Hydrochloric acid with bare hands and straight down the plug hole was 'interesting' mind!

In this week's show, we spend 4 hours looking for a bolt, some guy who isnt funny tries winding the other up and the boss hasnt heard of google, Welcome to another episode of Graveyard Carz.... I love all things car on TV but it was slow going to say the least.

Only watched one strippers so far (the beetle/camper one) and it seemed good as long as its not taken too seriously Graveyard carz looked so good in the adds but I've watched 3 and pretty nothing has happened car wise at all. Judging by the replies here it doesn't look like that's going to change either Fast and loud is by far my favorite car based show Found a random thread from a few years back where some nut job yank who ran a hot rod forum tried to single handedly ruin Richard Rawlings and anybody associated with gas monkey garage, all because some PR man tried to promote GMG on his forum with publicity pics of Richard and Aaron posing in comdey thongs ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Anyway, more pics ![](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m717cdRoeu1ql0mjpo1_500.jpg)

I saw episode this week, (Rolls Royce V's Jaguar) but there was another guy in Sheldons place, and Frankie seemed all normal and unscripted, not like in the other episodes, was very strange. Wonder if somehow it was a pilot episode.

I warmed to Strippers quite quickly, although the first time I saw it it seemed properly naff. Once you catch the vibe it's still cheesy, but almost enough to be kitsch rather than tragic ;D I actually quite enjoyed that Graveyard Carz (although the spurious "Z" still enrages me). I found Mark Worman rather funny, I think most of what he comes out with is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek. At least, that's what I convinced myself cos then it made me chuckle. If he was actually being serious then he must be an utter knob. Wish there was more about the actual car(z : ![:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cheesy.png) in it though.

Keep in mind most of these people get paid to be on the programs.
I read somewhere that Gas Monkey Garage gets $160k per episode or maybe series. So selling at a loss does not hurt so much.

Keep in mind most of these people get paid to be on the programs. I read somewhere that Gas Monkey Garage gets $160k per episode or maybe series. So selling at a loss does not hurt so much. I kind of get the impression that those guys would be doing the same stuff anyway. I started watching Graveyard Carz and managed about 20 minutes because there didn't seem to be any cars in it. It was just two blokes falling out. I think you do have to bear in mind that these things are intended as entertainment. Wheeler Dealers, Wrecks to Riches USA and Fast 'n loud seem to be focussed more on the car, whereas Strippers, Classic Car Rescue and Graveyard Carz seem to be more interested in the "relationships" angle (mostly squabbling and falling out like children). I always felt that American Hotrod was spoiled by the amount of squabbling (and by Duane being a cock) too. If there was genuinely that much disharmony, they'd never get a damn thing built. Overhaulin' struck a balance between the two and seemed to feature nice people rather than complete gits. None of them are perfect, but then if we thought they were perfect, I doubt any other curse word would watch them.
