Sierra no.6 I can not stress this strongly enough: THIS SIERRA IS A KEEPER!I love Sierras but the last few I've bought have been, well substandard. My last two white Saff and the XR4x2 were to be fair dogs. So this time I'm trying to do things differently, start with a nice clean car and modify it using proper bits. The car.... It's a GT, in basic terms it means it's got a 2.0i twink with PAS, colour coded bumper and interior, and no ABS or rear discs. Bought at the weekend from danburger28, the shell is very good the sill inner and outer look unwelded and the arches look the same. It's not immaculate but TBH that's what suits me and how I'm going to be using the car. The plan is to sort out the suspesion, then wheels and lots of lows! Tucked up with the Chevette until I can sort the insurance out...

Winning. I actually clicked on this thinking it was my thread haha. Look forward to being massively shown up by how much better yours will look than mine Mate your car looks spot on, I aspire for mine to look as cool as yours! I've unexpectedly found my self to be a little bit flush, so I've already taken the liberty of ordering parts, some of which have arrived and most of which are arriving over the next week..... This arrived today.... .....it's a Front ARB relocation kit, which is required as I've also purchased a compression strut kit (which does away with the standard ARB) as well as adjustable TCA's and eccentric top mounts ;D I've also ordered some wheels 8.25x15" et0 XXR 527. I did toy with ordering the 9.75x17" ones but Sierra arches aren't quite as accommodating as your average S-body or BMW, plus I plan to skid it as the local drift days have just started up again, and 15's offer cheap tyre options and less initial outlay. The plan is to sit it bloody low, but have spot on steering for drifto.

You're far too kind lol. Do XXR make their wheels in 4x108 fitment or are you going adaptors? Always liked the look of their stuff but just assumed it was the usual j-tin and vw fitments.

Do XXR make their wheels in 4x108 fitment or are you going adaptors? Always liked the look of their stuff but just assumed it was the usual j-tin and vw fitments. Quite a few of the XXR range seem to be available in 4x108, which is a pleasant change to the norm. So many companies neglect 4x108 in decent width and offset rims. Rota do some great stuff but they only offer 2 or 3 designs in Ford fitment, and they tend to be in a weak offset or flat faced designs. Hopefully the dark wheels will complement the Smokestone bodywork, while the width and offset will accentuate the low phat jelly mould shape.

How heavy are they? Would look cool on mine. For a wide wheel they feel pretty light, I'll weigh a wheel when I get a chance and let you know.

Copey Thanks for the info mate, any idea what kind of offset your wheels are? I didnt know you liked sierras?? si Maybe just a little! Pity you sold that S12, I have bought that instead, although I guess I've got unfinished business with Sierras so this ones got to be the best I can make it!

Good plan with the compression struts. Made a massive difference on my 24v. I went from not qualifying in the BDC, to qualifying 2nd after it was converted!
Who you get the kit from? And the ARB kit? I just went for crazy spring rates on mine as I didn't care about comfort.... Would quite like to give my Cossie the same treatment.
