etch primed caliper back plates and some suspension parts ready for some 2k black then suddenly remembered that I had to cut out the rear panel for the twin exhausts then I thought I had better make sure the bolt in cage still fits now that the roof skin is on and then look what arrived my nice set of gauges custom made by speedhut with GPS speedo

Great work, i seriously thought about putting one of those engines in my ra28 but the electrics scared the curse word out of me, this going to be a seriously quick car, i think you might have to send your dash clocks back as they only go up to 160mph!!!! In ww2 the Germans and the japs were called the Axis of evil (stolen by Bush for iran iraq) but a cool name for this beast if you name your car!! looking forward to seeing it go!

First I've seen of this project. What a glorious combo! Always loved the Z cars and the S54 is a masterpiece of its own. Can't wait to see more progress!

Thanks Lads although I scared myself today was talking to some bmw blokes today and they told me that the m3 is limited to about 155mph take the limiter off and there good for 170 ish f....me stand alone ecu and half a ton lighter .....shouldn't be allowed .....yes, and I wouldn't be surprised if the 240Z had a lower drag coefficient as well! I found exactly the same problem with tyres sizes for my 9.5 x 15 Minilites, 225 section is bout the widest commonly available size now... the Toyos are almost an exception. I believe that you can still get Michelin tarmac rally tyres in 245 section, but being specialised they are very soft and less than ideal for a roadcar.... as well as being very expensive. The next step in 15" is to go to the same widths as used on the Stratos, GT40 and Pantera, but thay is a bit extreme and would need even wider rims... and is still expensive! Really nice project.
