howdy, I'm looking at getting a project car in the near future and just after a rough price for a garage that i can use. it would need to be able to fit about two car lengths or widths in, as its a body off job so will need the space. and space for junk, obviously... I'm only costing this up at the moment and never got a garage before, and i guess theres lots of people on here that have these sort of lock ups. i just need a rough idea, like the monthly or weekly cost etc. not actualy looking for a garage off anybody, just an idea of cost of a garage i can use to work in for a few months. cheers!!! and a random retro picture to make it more interesting ;D

Hi there if you want something with electrickery a 4 car w/shop could cost £60-90 pw +rates+other services e.g security wast removal. but this depends on where you are and the landlord..
the cheaper way is the way I started, get two council lockups in the same block if poss' and a geny.. I am paying £55 ish pm for two lockups.
my top tip for the lockups is check if it has a flat roof if it does go for the one that slopes up at the rear as this should give you about 3ft extra head room at the rear..

Just talking about this today, a propper lock up can easily be £150 PM! Its luck of the draw, find what you can. sharing a place is an option but its still a mission finding somewhere!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Our council go mad if they see you 'using' your garage for ANYTHING other that CAR storage!!

where abouts are you? That price I gave always surprises me there are cheaper options if ya can find em. ask around, but generally working on cars near houses like council jobs (worth a shot though) is frowned upon which is rubbish but we know its cool! I'm currently looking for a space again...
