hi i have recently put streched tyres on my cooper and never had any experance with them really just wondering on a fue questions ..
1) going round corners quick is it likely to pop off the rim ? 2)pot holes as we all know minis are a harsh ride mines even harsher with it been lowerd 15mm and fully ajustable dampers and harder bump stops
just want to reasure my self haha feels aload diffrent to running normal sized tyres might be just me tho haha
tyre and wheel combo are stagard 8.5j rears on 165/55/13 7.5 fronts on 165/55/13

1) No.
2) The tyre won't fall off, but because of the stretch you could catch the rim edge on the road and bend it. Best to avoid them in general (even with normal tyres).

Stretched tyres come with problems Clip a small pot hole and you will egg the tyre side wall They split after time round the walls There very unstable if low on air the outer edges wear faster Trust me i have 215/35/19 on 8.5/ 9 inch rims There not cheap ,The best to stretch are falkens for price and comfort I have gone through a set a year I will not be stretching tyres when i sell this car
Hope this helps

'they are not cheap' - LOL why would they cost any more than 'normal' tyres?? if I'm running stretched tyres I'm not looking for comfort - get some part worns on

Almost on the road: b11 sunny breadvan, e36 tds, 325i skidcar,
nearly there: ford f250 tathauler, suzuki alto, u11 bluey
not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,
not in this lifetime: ruby, '29 hillman

I run 165/55/15 on a 7.5 and 175/55/15 on a 8. Quite a "tame" stretch. No problems at all, even after 10,000 miles.
