Porsche 924. Mostly vw audi and later ones are fully galvanized at the factory so they don't rust as badly as most cars of there age and parts are dirt cheap. There also great cars and you can pick up a really good one for that money. I even know a guy with a nice turbo might sell his for 1600. But he is in wiganso a bit of a mooch.

I'm not biased at all or anything, buuttt.............................. This will be for sale in a couple of weeks: But yeah, more seriously, what do you want from the car? A Passat estate and a Scirocco are completely different cars, do you want a big estate or a small sports car? I'm swapping from my Passat back to the Scirocco for daily duties because I'm after something a little more lively to drive, but I'll definitely miss the practicality of the Passat, great car.

^^ and I can vouch that Robins Passat is one of the best condition B3's I've ever seen. ^^
I would have bought it myself but have now got myself sorted with a daily since asking Robin for first refusal on it. I will probably regret turning him down because it really is a very nice car.

How about thinking of a car you like and then seeing if you can find one for the money you have?

Silly. silly boy! I have a feeling it's going to be 'one of those' threads? I still say an LT35. It's a VW and certainly not 'done to death' so probably one of the only VW's to fall into your 'individualism' criteria.
