Cool to see another surviving example. I had heard about that one but must go look. Mine needs bumpers fitting still (impossible to find so borrowed a pair to take glassfibre moulds of), then it's time for battery pack wiring.

There's also a grey one at the (genuinely brilliant) Electric Museum in Christchurch. This is awesome work. I'd love to have a crack at doing an electric car one day.

Quick update on the Enfield. Today I trailered it down to www.currentracing.co.uk in Hungerford (home of the fastest full bodied EV) to start the wiring. It will also get its ECU brain finally fitted. Will post pics asap.

This is a brilliant project!
I know of an Enfield sitting unloved in Bournemouth if anyone fancies it? I could put a note through the door.

Cheers! Always keen to get hold of spares so if you can contact (or get address) the owner of an unloved one I'd be v interested. Best, Jonny

The front end is nearly ready for its AP Racing disc brake conversion (brackets fabled by bgdevelopments.co.uk) but I want to know if Hillman Imp steering can be graded at all? The Enfield has Imp wishbones, steering rack and other bits. I have read that Ford Fiesta track rod ends are a common upgrade for Imps but there is no info available. Can anyone tell me more about Fiesta track rods for Hillman Imps?

79Cord - I never answered your question. The windscreen has a heating element to it. Might be the first production car to have a heated windscreen?

Latest pics show fibreglass bumpers fitted and new rubber seals/trims done. Windows back in etc. Next step is to fit the front disc brake conversion and check MoT electrics (lights etc) before awaiting the battery packs.

BTW thanks to Tim at www.roadhouseretro.co.uk for doing such an amazing job on the body, paint, reassembly and generally being a top bloke (with a yard full of intriguing retro filth)

Just got the disc brake conversion, so will fit that this week. Conversion done by bgdevelopments.co.uk and they cnc machined a bracket to carry a modified Caterham front AP Racing calliper. The clearance is so tight that my wheel weights will have to run on the outside of the Wolfrace rim!

Disc brake conversion kit has just been fabricated by the gurus at bgdevelopments.co.uk. It's a thing if CNC born beauty.
