I'm almost sure there was a 4x4 e34 made, 525x or something it was called? Rarer than a rare thing, and also had some drivertrain issues that are nigh on impossible to fix. Often advertised as normal ones, so hard to find. The sunny GTIR is a good bet, I know of someone selling a minter for that budget too. Also EVO3's are within budget and a safe fun drive. RWD daily drivers are cool makes everyday driving fun!!

where within 3 minutes he gets it PROPER broadside on a narrow country road with the dealer sat in the back, he caught it well but he has now decided he wants 4wd for his everyday car. HaHa this sounds familiar to recent events, sat in the passenger seats you don't need 300 horses to travel sideways and nearly curse word your self! LOL that poor sales chap. respect to ya mate for crazy new year decision making! not read the thread, has subaru been mentioned? probably has all models.
