Just a bit too pimp my ride for my liking, I like the cut off doors and some other bits, the paint job doesnt upset me much either. the bonnet and dashboard does though!

What a shame to go to all that trouble re-engining it (and lets face it the Swift GTI engine isn't bad for a 1300) to give it extra power.......then adding so much Tupperware, Fablon and bondoslonk that it almost qualifies for a tachograph. Numpty.

mini sceene still seems to be full of curse word like this. Not seen a Mini Mag for about a year, but they were still clour coding, smoothing out and adding tribal graphics  Will the mini scene ever do anything origional, or anything that isnt a cooper rep, rally rep or god awfull custom? They seem fully stuck in the early 90's. |

Thats a bit harsh.... I'm sure the mini boys could level similar accusations at roofracks, 'rat-look', 76 stickers etc etc etc etc seen at every dub-related show.

Exactly what I was thinking, and to be honest I'm disappointed at the level of bitching this pick-up has recieved. It's one persons vision and should be appreciated as such, it's been seemingly well executed... So it's not to your tastes? You spend the man hours and money that this person has and get slagged off, how would that feel? How many times have you tried to explain Garuchan or Bozu style cars to somebody and they just don't get it? Would this owner understand half the cars on here? Probably not... That's what makes the world tick. As for original Minis, there are plenty. Can we just cut this negative stuff out? As usual, a scene that is painfully small is just splintering and dividing again... Its local too, and in some respects, its no different to the yellow Mini van that has had its roof chopped and is about 5cm off the floor that i've seen round here. This one:   Which when I saw it, I quite liked it. Both customizing - just different visions.

Thanks Bryn - a bit of sense. Too much knocking/slagging off gets the whole retro movement nowhere whatsoever.
This pick-up certainly isn't my cup of tea, but I ain't going to knock the owner for doing it.
