Having driven a few beetles on dropped spindle.s ( hover craft low ) Id be tempted to leave it as is ,bet you only have a fag packet worth of clearance anyway .. save your pocket .. it looks like a great looking ride .

It's got a suprising amount of ground clearance. Even the towing eye hanging below the frame head is a few inches off the ground. It drives well too, better than the horrible 17" wheels it came on. For some reason not all my pics are showing up though.

I like that, and it's not often that you see modern wheels that suit a Bug I'm also in the "leave the front as it is" camp , but I am, sadly, middle aged

Nice bug but have you got anymore pics of the combo? Afraid not, it belongs to my mate. It's his work van and is running loads of camber & 16x9j Azev E's. also bare in mind drop spindles increase your track by half inch a side. Yeah I'm aware of that now. If I go for drop spindles I'll have to have the beam narrowed to keep the track the same as it's spot on at the moment. I'm thinking about removing the adjusters and rotating them further round the beam.

Oooh a beetle to upset the purists - i like it! Looks well on those wheels looks a solid bug too. The combo looks wicked too, nearly brought one not so long back with the intention of doing a similar thing to it ;D

Cheers for the positive comments guys. The plan this week (depending on the weather) is to get all of the interior out & rustproof the floor pans inside & out for the winter.
