Hi all, I'm a first timer, so this is a taster, just to see if I can upload a pic. This cars one of my Viva HB estates (I have 3 of them!!!), it has a 2.3 slant four, big valves, Vf3 cam, heavy duty rods with Chevy big block ARP rod bolts, lightened & balanced, twin 45's & alloy rocker cover. I have fitted Renault vented discs, Granada calipers, billies all round & quick rack. The rear consists of Scimitar Se5 axle with 3.7 lsd 4linked with panhard rod & cast ali diff cover. The gearbox is a XJS Getrag 5speed with paddle clutch. I do use it as a daily driver, along with my 'retro Metro' & throttle bodied XE Calibra. If this uploads successfully, Ill start to ad other projects I have on the go, ie Ford Pop, Escort Mk2, Several other HB GT's & 2 'old nail' type Firenzas. hope you like...

Hey all. LOVE the Hb estate shape. Alex - there is one in Temuka in a vacant lot on the side of the main drag. It needs saving... And if you should head that way - you really should check out Hinds Service Station - 4 new container loads of old stuff... Gotta say - one of the things that got me started on Marina estates was the raised window line at the tail end - which the Hb has loads of.. Loving it all - you guys rock.

Kilroy- please please please find out more if you can about the estate? In fact I'll ring you this weekend (free calls then..)
Whoops- thread hijack. Sorry. It's just the thought of an available hb wagon that could be mine gets me all excited..

I have been wondering about an HB saloon with turbo Volvo power for a while now, Better looking than Escorts i think.
|
|
Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

i had one of these lovely estates many moons ago it was a white SL model with a red interior i reckon it must have been one of the first built as it was regestered in july 67 with the E suffix number plate no longer with us it seems to have gone to that grat motorway in the sky in 1984
