Picked up some sandblasted parts, like rear axle, front axle, lower arms etc. Also got some pieces powdercoated. Looks very promising. Sorry no more pictures, was short of time.

Don't worrie this one will compensate for the others... Nice axle... it was done way faster then mine... I had to clean it with a wire brush, not so easy and not so clean and with a better end result... This is promising, keep it up...

Also will be for sale. Also got fog lights that are missing on mine. Will keep them, but it is shame that one lence is brokes. Painted rear axle. Got Santa's present earlier. Package from VP Autoparts. Lowered springs. Compared with standart. Today started to put all those shiny bits together. Backing plate for rear axle. Sandblasted and powdercoated front axle and lower arms Pressed bushinks in rear arms and links.

Today got my front brake calipers overhalled and sprayed in silver. lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BwB8sassIaI/UOhOINwaNZI/AAAAAAAABMM/qwW4UutNzfc/s576/image.jpgAlso finished to put together lower arms. Then got a story regarding upper arms. I broke mines when trying to change bushings, but was not a big deal since I got spare new ones. But here is a thing. Right one is from 164. Left one is from 144. Notice different shaft and bushings. Arm itself is the same as 144 or 164. Even numbers matches. So I need to take out shaft and bushings, press the new ones in. But also need to use old spacers mot to press to far in those bushings. Therefore it was just a tiny progress today. Managed to put only one side lower arm.

Yesterday was visiting welder and some pictures from slow progress. But that is good in one way since anyhow my garage is cold like fridge, so no fun to be there. Let to be some pictures Rear left corner cut out and ready for new metal. Rear left wheelarch ready for outer shochabsorber mount. Also inner one was cut out and new metal and nut welded in. Very nasty corner. In front of left rear wing section. Lot of rust and bodge repairs done before. Some new metal already in. Still need to fix mising metal. Brand new metal will fill this hole for rear left floor section. Some more holes fixed. Front crossmember Rear left wheelarch repair from inside of the car. So thats all for the moment. Waiting for spring to come. Otherwise getting too slow progress on this.

Guys. I need some help and advise how it is on your cars. Subject is front suspension, particulary front springs and shock absorber. On my car there were no such items as tube 18 and rubber spacer 22. Now I am wondering how important those parts are? How it is on your cars? I imagine that rubber spacer and tube via shock absorber rod holds spring neatly to axle frame. Was looking into VP Autoparts and they are not providing such parts.

The 22 is a rubber seat for the coil easely replicated and the other 2 depends on the shock absorver manufacturer. Mine as that parts on the Gabriel shock absorvers and you can see them here: retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=91344&page=2The 16 is the 17 stopper as you can see there's another 2 on the top. The 18 is a spacer between the shock absorver tip and the rubber grommet... I hope it helps...

Long time no updates, so here they come. As weather turned into pluses got my car to the sandblast. Bonnet looks quite OK. Rear right wing quite wobbly Boot area Cabin: Rear left wing On its way back to bodyshop. So that's it for the moment. Now it's time for primer, welding to fix the found holes. So hope to see it ready for paint within 2-3 weeks. Cheers.
