Spring is in full glory, so there are lot of events to attend. First one was Youngtimer organised event Car&Coffee. There was some 150 cars in that event. I was too lazy to make a photos, so here are just a few with one car. It was not smooth sailing before the event however. I wanted to tune the engine management system and that was a bit of a challenge. After the heat up car started to hesitate and a loss of power was evident. Almost you can not drive one. So make it short we found out that fuel pump is dying after it gets running for hour or so. Next early morning prior the event I was laying on the ground in order to put spare one on. And it worked. Still needs to be adjusted the fuel trims. It runs too rich, but at least it runs. BR

Update. Got my all fleet together. And some troubles. After last time driving now I got an oil pressure lamp lighting up. If I rev engine it disappears. I thought it was due to too rich mixture and that petrol was making oil too thin in oil sump. Since it was running very rich. And oil smelled after petrol as well. So I changed the oil to 10W40 and filter. Started the engine and lamp was not on. .... Until after 5 minutes it went on again. If I increase revs a bit around 1000 rpms, it goes off. So will get a mechanical gauge today from shop to check actual pressure in the system and the will see. Have red in forums that it has been some week spring in oil relieve valve. So thats my hope, since I don't think that gauge is faulty. Of course that would be the easiest solution, but I don't think it will be like that. So thats a story for now. Not very happy.

So update from yesterday. Got an engine support. Tightened the engine to the hoist, so it doesnt fell of. Lifted car up. And unscrewed the 4 bolts that keep cross member to the body and 2 engine mount nuts. Lowered the front axle and I was able to get the oil pan out of the way. Here is the oily chap. Took it off and made it apart. Hoping that it will be ok to change the pressure spring. And nope. It needs a new pump.

At least you've found the problem before any lasting damage. Are pumps easy to get for those?

Things has changed interestingly. Have been contacted with a guy from FB 164 group. Fast Forward and my car has found new home. So I delivered car to Sweden where new owner picked it up. As far I can see he really takes care about it. Export plates On the ferry On the trailer heading to new home. But most likely space can not be empty and will be filled with some old Volvo project. So stay tuned.
